Day 1: Arrival & Introduction to the Wilderness

Day 2: Choose Your Ecotourism Adventure
Guests can choose one of the following immersive full-day experiences organized by the Forest Department at Periyar Tiger Reserve:
🚣♂️ Option 1: Bamboo Rafting Adventure (Half Day )
A dawn-to-dusk program ideal for semi-serious nature lovers, combining forest trekking and bamboo rafting.

Traverse through mosaic forest habitats rich with birdlife and arboreal mammals like Nilgiri langur and giant squirrels.

Three-hour bamboo raft ride across the Periyar Lake offers panoramic views of forest-clad hills and possible sightings of elephants, gaurs, and Sambar deer.

Includes tea, snacks, and packed lunch.

Accompanied by 4 guides and an armed forest guard (max 10 guests).

Trek across undulating terrains (900–1300 m elevation) offering breathtaking views of Cumbam Valley, forest escarpments, and hidden wildlife corridors.

Groups of max 12 tourists, split into two, are led by two guides and an armed forest guard.
